2 former RCB players who are Head Coaches in the Hundred 2024

Royal Challengers Bengaluru is a team with a lot of history. While there is Virat Kohli who is still playing for the franchise, there are some former players who have moved on in their careers. Many have taken up coaching and are doing a good job at it. In the Hundred 2024, as well, we have some of the former RCB players in the support staff as Head Coach. Here, we take a look at the list of two former RCB players who are Head Coaches in the Hundred 2024.

1) Daniel Vettori – Birmingham Phoenix (Men’s)

Daniel Vettori is a high-profile Head Coach now. It was at RCB that he made his IPL captaincy debut and also his Head Coach debut. As a captain, he was able to lead the side to the finals but as a Head Coach, barring the 2016 edition, the Kiwi could not do well for the franchise.

That said, Vettori got an assignment with the SRH squad in IPL 2024. It was a brilliant appointment as Vettori helped SRH display an excellent brand of cricket. They even reached the finals. Now, everyone looks forward to Vettori’s philosophies and hence, the Birmingham side is one of the favourites.

2) Ashley Noffke – London Spirit (Women’s)

Ashley Noffke is one of the former RCB players who are Head Coaches in the Hundred 2024. Not many remember but he played in the first-ever IPL match back in 2008. He was a part of the RCB bowling unit. He gave away 40 runs and took the wicket of David Hussey. He did not play another IPL match.

After retirement, the Aussie took up coaching. He held many roles in Australian domestic competitions. Now, he is the Head Coach of the London Spirit Women’s Team, that is led by Heather Knight. He is also involved in the WPL with the UP Warriorz.
