2 Indians with base price INR 2 Cr who could get unsold in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions

IPL 2025 Mega Auctions will take place on November 24th and November 25th. The list of players who have registered for the auctions is already out for the franchises. Quite a few Indians have placed themselves in the highest base price category of INR 2 Crores. Here, we take a look at the list of two Indians with a base price of INR 2 Cr who could get unsold in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.

1) Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav could not deliver his best for Gujarat Titans last season. He was expensive and despite the conditions being on his side, the Nagpur-based cricketer could not pick a lot of wickets. This will be on the mind of franchises who will want a new-ball bowler.

If Umesh had a lesser base price, with the Impact Player rule still available, teams might have been interested in him. Now also, some teams could pick him but definitely not in the first round. It will be too big a risk to allocate INR 2 Cr or more for a player who is not in his best form.

2) Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur is one of the Indians with a base price of INR 2 Cr who could get unsold in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. Even in IPL 2024 Auctions, Shardul Thakur did not meet any demand from the franchises. CSK could get him easily without much competition. Further, Shardul spent time on the bench and when he got chance, he could not do very well.

Now, with a base price of two crores, it could be hard for teams to sign him, at least, in the initial round. There are a plethora of other Indian pacers who could be a better option for the side. Teams will have to save money initially and hence, they might not spend big on Shardul.
