2 Major Title Changes, Team Implodes & More » TWNP-Wrestling News

Last night’s NXT felt like a mission statement about the coming year’s direction. With Oba Femi, Jordynne Grace, and Je’Von Evans getting main roster call-ups, NXT needs to fill some gaps on its roster. The February 24, 2026 edition of NXT on CW gave a clear indication of who the company is going to build its television around. There were two major Title changes on the show. Here’s a look at the newest stars of NXT, including Myles Borne and The Vanity Project.

Tony D’Angelo Returns to Get Revenge on DarkState

NXT started off with a bang, as 2-time NXTTag Team Champions, DarkState, defended their Titles against The Vanity Projects’ Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor. Things got heated between the two factions as DarkState’s Cutler James had to prevent Evolve Champion Jackson Drake from sticking his nose into business.

As chaos ensued, Tony D’Angelo made a shocking return. The former head of The D’Angelo Family exacted revenge on DarkState by slamming Osiris Griffin onto the hardest part of the ring apron.

The Vanity Project Wins Tag Championships to Kick Off Night of Major Title Changes

Tony D’Angelo’s return rocked the NXT Universe…and DarkState. A groggy Osiris rolled into the ring after crashing on the apron.

The Don then tossed Brad Baylor into the ring to roll on top of the DarkState member to secure the win. The former Swipe Right are the new NXT Tag Team Champions!

Now, all three members of The Vanity Project are holding gold. Ethan Page’s loose affiliates will undoubtedly become a focal point of NXT. However, will All Ego stick around to help them shine?

Myles Borne Wins North American Title from Ethan Page

Last night’s NXT was a shot at the ego of All Ego Ethan Page. February 24, 2026 marked the historic ending to Ethan Page’s 273-day reign as the longest reigning NXT North American Champion.

After months of ridicule, Myles Borne fought back against Ethan Page. All Ego constantly accused Stephanie Vaquer’s boyfriend of being too soft to be a Champion.

Last week, the deaf NXT sensation threatened to Pillmanize Ethan Page’s ankle if the former AEW star didn’t give Borne a Title shot. Even though Page agreed, Borne stomped the chair into Page’s ankle anyway.

That aggressive side carried over into NXT as Borne challenged Page for the Championship. The back-and-forth encounter saw a ton of interference in the ending.

Page’s cronies in The Vanity Project tried to help All Ego get the upperhand. However, the newly minted Tag Team Champions were thwarted off by top contenders Hank and Tank.

Ricky Saints then reared his head to get involved. Thankfully for Borne, NXT Champion Joe Hendry evened up the odds.

Eventually, the chaos allowed Myles Borne the time to counteract Ethan Page’s cheating tactics. The breakout NXT star threw Page into an exposed turnbuckle before following it up with a Borne Again (Zig Zag) for the win.

Myles Borne defeated Ethan Page to become the new NXT North American Champion. The popular star took to the crowd, ending the show by posing with the NXT Universe.

Is Ethan Page Getting Called Up?

There are rumors that Ethan Page might get called up to the main roster. These rumblings intensified after Bronson Reed’s injury, suggesting that The Vision might need yet another shakeup.

Unfortunately for the WWE Universe, they’re probably going to have to wait a little longer. It seems like Ethan Page is going to remain on NXT to help get The Vainty Project acclimated to the WWE system.

Thea Hail Gets One Up On Blake Monroe Again

The star-studded NXT also saw last year’s drama between Thea Hail and Blake Monroe boil to a head last night. As we noted here, Blake Monroe is still pretty upset with the fallout of Thea Hail’s North American Title win. While Thea Hail’s unexpected reign was short-lived, The Glamour has yet to get her Championship back.

Nonetheless, the two rivals faced off in a #1 Contender Women’s Speed Tournament Match. The two women really laid into each other in this fast-paced encounter. As Thea Hail knocked Blake Monroe out of the ring, Jaida Parker arrived to drop the former AEW Women’s Champion with a Hipnotic.

Parker rolled Monroe back into the ring, positioning her right in line for a Flipping Neckbreaker from Thea Hail. The energetic protege of Joe Hendry would get the pin over a dazed Monroe.

Thea Hail advances to the Finals of the #1 Contender Tournament. She will face the victor of Wren Sinclair vs. Nikkita Lyons. The winner will go on to face Women’s Speed Champion Fallon Henley.

ZaRuca Implodes, Jacy Jayne Retains Title Over Sol Ruca

Sol Ruca is fresh off an impressive appearance at the Royal Rumble. She is being earmarked for a slight character change and main roster call-up around springtime. So, last night saw the looming ZaRuca implosion finally explode.

Sol Ruca challenged Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Title on last night’s NXT episode. On a night of major Title changes, Jacy Jayne picked up the easy W over the Master of the Sol Snatcher. That’s because Zaria Speared her partner right before the match started.

NXT’s odd couple is no more. The powerhouse Zaria snatched up Tyler Bate’s girlfriend and gave her an F5. While the crowd looked on, shocked, the referee checked with Sol Ruca to see if she wanted to continue.

The fiesty babyface insisted on facing Jacy Jayne. Much to the chagrin of the crowd, Jacy Jayne dropped Sol Ruca with a Rolling Encore, securing the win in under 10 seconds.

The Fatal Influence leader retained the Women’s Championship. Meanwhile, Zaria and Sol Ruca are set to have one of the biggest feuds in NXT heading into Stand & Deliver over WrestleMania weekend.
