The Acclaimed Introduce New AEW Trios Titles & Yes, They Scissor

New AEW Trios Champions The Acclaimed will be able to scissor whenever they want thanks to their new championship gold.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, and Billy Gunn) captured the Trios Championships at AEW All In, dethroning The House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthes, and Brody King.) This marks the first Trios titles for The Acclaimed and the first taste of AEW championship gold of any kind for Billy Gunn. Gunn had previously teased retirement following a loss to the House of Black but returned to programming last week.

New Championships

During this week’s episode of Dynamite, Max Caster spoke about capturing the AEW Trios Championships in front of over 80,000 AEW fans in Wembley Stadium. The group then turned its attention to the new titles which were covered by a cloth on a table in the ring.

After Billy Gunn cut the ceremonial ribbon (with giant scissors of course,) The new championships were revealed. The new titles feature a hot-pink strap with gold plates. As the group also shared, the titles also include scissors on either side of the title strap, allowing the belts to ‘scissor’ themselves.

What’s Next for The Acclaimed?

The Acclaimed may have new championship gold, but their reigh may indeed be a short one. The new AEW Trios Champions will defend their titles this Saturday against Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker. At this time, there has not been any match confirmed for The Acclaimed for this weekend’s AEW All Out pay-per-view.
