A Game-Changer for England’s Title Hopes?

David Willy is ready to take all the challenges ahead of the World Cup. The English all-rounder wants to contribute to England’s World Cup team. Having missed the last World Cup he is desperate to show his strength on the field. In the last edition of the World Cup, he was left out because of Jofra Archar’s selection. England’s World Cup is to be announced on the 28th of September. David Willy is eying for this now.

Willy’s comment:

Willy said,” I’m happy to be here now, but until you are on that flight out there, you can’t rest on your laurels.” Willy has been named one of the fittest cricketers in the England squad over the years. He believes in his ability and is willing to contribute to the team in the big tournament.

Donkey Work:

He said,” Call me a donkey if you want, but to take a donkey out on what could be a tough trip, you just might need a monkey.” he is currently in the provisional World Cup squad of England but he doesn’t want to take anything for granted. He said he would do the ‘donkey’ work if it would help him secure a place in the squad for the upcoming cricket World Cup. He is an impactful all-rounder of England. He played 66 ODI matches and took 88 wickets. In these 66 matches, he scored 566 runs which contains two half-centuries.

When he was asked about the exclusion of him in the 2019 World Cup squad Willy said,” It was out of my control. It was out of my control in 2019. I would have given my left arm to be a part of the last World Cup. Anything that happens to me in cricket now is never going to be as bad as that.”

In the 2019 World Cup England won their maiden title. They played against New Zealand in the final and own it on super over. In addition, England is going to begin their World Cup journey against New Zealand on October 5. It will be worth watching who will win the trophy or if England will keep it again.
