Former Pakistani cricket captain Waqar YOUNIS has recently proclaimed Virat Kohli to being a crazy man, after a momentous victory for India against Pakistan, on the reserve day i.e Monday.
This reaction from Younis came for Kohli when the former Indian skipper smashed his 47th century against Pakistan in the Super 4 match of the Asia Cup 2023.
After the rain stopped, Kohli got back on field in a form which no one literally thought of. Initially, he joined KL rahul on the field with a role to support him but as the time passed by, he literally became like a run machine that cannot be flushed off from people’s minds. Both KL Rahul and Virat Kohli slammed centuries against Pakistan which got the duo to score 233 run partership out of 193 balls. This joint run chase was essential the highest score by India against Pakistan.
Soon to break Tendulkar’s record
With Kohli delivering his 47th century during India’s innings against Pakistan, the 34-year old former Indian captain is just two centuries away from breaking retired ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Virat has also made a record of being the fastest cricketer to score 13,000 ODI runs.
This means that he is yet on the verge of breaking more records surpassing Tendulkar who was himself a legend in cricket history.
On Kohli’s mindblowing performance, Waqar told Star Sports that Kohli runs like a crazy man. Instead, he felt sorry for Rahul who had just came back from an injury and had to match with Virat’s running pace that helped him to score a ton century. They ran relentlessly between the wickets, standing no chances of missing a single run.
With continuous boasting, Waqar had too much to say about Kohli. He appreciated him for his utter dedication to fitness and whatever he does in the field, be it batting, bowling or fielding. There are many records that are yet to be shattered by him before he gets retired, said Younis.
