2025/26 Kenya Cup final standings

Kabras Sugar RFC once again set the pace in the Kenya Cup, finishing top with 52 points out of a possible 55 to seal an eighth consecutive top finish in the regular season .

The Sugarmen remained unbeaten throughout the campaign, extending their remarkable run to 52 matches while also reaching the milestone of 50 straight wins during the season. They were dominant on both ends of the pitch, finishing as the top attacking side and boasting the best defensive record, underlining their complete control of the competition.

KCB Rugby continued their consistency by finishing second for the eighth straight season with 50 points. The bankers lost no matches, registering ten wins and a draw, and once again position themselves as the closest challengers to Kabras. A home semifinal offers them a strong chance to push for the title, though they will be wary of falling short yet again.

Menengai Oilers secured third place after winning nine of their eleven matches, bagging 45 points. While they remain one of the strongest sides in the competition, two defeats proved costly as they missed out on a direct semifinal slot. They will now have to go through the playoffs, a route that has previously hindered their title ambitions despite their quality.

Strathmore Leos were one of the standout performers this season, climbing to fourth place with seven wins with 36 points. Their improved performance saw them secure a home playoff, a significant advantage as they aim to break into the semifinals. They will be keen to enter the semis for the first time since their first two season after being promoted back to the top tier.

Nakuru RFC missed out on the playoffs once again. Although they managed four wins, they could only have 22 points.

Daystar Falcons  in their first season  also finished with four wins but managed 21 points, missing out on playoffs.

Kenya Harlequin FC had a difficult campaign, managing four wins while Impala RFC survived once again, finishing tenth with three wins. They have now successfully maintained their top-flight status for the second consecutive season since returning to the Kenya Cup.

Kisumu RFC were relegated after three seasons in the top tier, having managed just two wins. Despite moments of promise, they were unable to keep up with the competition’s intensity and will now look to rebuild in the second division.

MMUST Rugby also suffered relegation after finishing bottom with two wins on their return.
