The Kenya Cup will take a month-long mid-season break, returning in January, with Kabras Sugar, Menengai Oilers, and KCB Rugby locked in a tight battle at the top after Matchweek 3.

Kabras Sugar currently sit first on the table with 15 points and a massive +242 points difference, maintaining their perfect start to the 2025/26 campaign. Their big win over Impala propelled them to the top of the log overtaking Menengai Oilers.

Menengai Oilers follow closely in second, also on 15 points with an impressive +217 points difference.

KCB Rugby complete the trio of unbeaten sides, sitting third on 15 points and boasting a +171 points difference, keeping themselves firmly in the title conversation.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Strathmore Leos and Blad Blad are tied on 10 points but separate by head to head record while Kenya Harlequin FC (6th, 9 points) occupy the remaining positions in the top half.

Nondescripts (7th, 8 points) and Nakuru RFC (8th, 6 points) find themselves in mid-table, with MMUST RFC (9th, 0 points) and Daystar Falcons (10th, 0 points) still searching for their first win of the season after difficult starts and having a game in hand.

At the bottom, Kisumu RFC (11th) and Impala RFC (12th) remain winless and will need to regroup during the break as they aim to climb out of the relegation zone when the league resumes.

The month-long pause offers teams a valuable window to reassess, recover and reinforce ahead of a demanding January schedule.
