As the Kenya Cup season heads toward its decisive stages, the race for individual scoring honours has begun to take shape, with several standout performers driving their teams’ attacking momentum.
The try-scoring charts, kicking tables and overall points standings release by Kenya Cup reveal the players who have consistently delivered when it matters most, highlighting both clinical finishers and reliable goal kickers across the competition.
Kenya Cup top scorer
At the top of the try-scoring charts is Alvin Khavoli of Menengai Oilers, whose explosive pace and finishing ability have seen him cross the whitewash 12 times this season. Khavoli’s tally places him ahead of a strong chasing pack dominated by players from Kabras Sugar RFC.
Kabras utility foward Patrick Lumumba sits second with 10 tries, while teammate Jeanson Misoga and Oilers’ Daniel Kipchirchir follow closely with nine tries each. Completing the top five is Kabras scrum-half Roy Maruti with eight tries.
While tries often capture the headlines, goal kicking remains one of the most decisive aspects of modern rugby, and this season several players have shown remarkable accuracy from the tee. Enock Oduor of KU BlakBlad currently leads the kicking charts with 83 points, thanks to his composure in converting tries and slotting penalties under pressure.
EDITOR’S PICKS:
Close behind is Brian Wahinya of KCB Rugby on 77 points, while Kabras fly-half Eric Cantona follows with 76 points. Timothy Omela from Menengai Oilers has accumulated 52 points, and Javan Otieno of Nakuru RFC rounds out the top five with 49 points from the kicking tee.
When both tries and kicks are combined, the race for the overall points scorer title presents an even clearer picture of the season’s most influential attackers. Kabras’ Eric Cantona leads the standings with an impressive 116 points, a reflection of his dual role as both a dependable goal kicker and an attacking threat.
KCB’s Brian Wahinya follows with 92 points, while KU BlakBlad’s Enock Oduor sits third on 83 points. Menengai Oilers winger Timothy Omela has accumulated 72 points, while teammate Abutwalib Wesonga occupies fifth place with 66 points.
With crucial rounds of the Kenya Cup still to be played, the race for the golden boot, top try scorer and overall points leader remains open.
