The Wuhan Open is a premier WTA 1000 tournament hosted at the Wuhan International Tennis Centre in China.

Launched in 2014, the event took place annually until 2019, before making its comeback to the WTA Tour in 2024.

The 2025 WTA Wuhan Open tennis tournament will be held from the 6th to the 12th of October 2025, with the 2025 tournament being played in the same week as the ATP Shanghai Masters.

Past Winners

Aryna Sabalenka claimed the 2024 Wuhan singles title, edging Zheng Qinwen 6–3, 5–7, 6–3 in the final (highlights below).

This was Sabelenka’s third title in a row having also won in 2019 (defeated Alison Riske 6–3, 3–6, 6–1) and 2018 (defeated Anett Kontaveit 6–3, 6–3).

Other past singles winners include Petra Kvitová (2014 and 2015), Venus Williams (2015), and Caroline Garcia (2017).
