The tournament is the last of three LPGA Tour 2026 events in Asia and is being played at Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course in Hainan Island in China.
The Blue Bay LPGA was first held in 2014 and was staged each year until being cancelled in 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The tournament returned in 2024 when won by Bailey Tardy, while Rio Takeda was victorious in last year’s edition in China in 2025.
Other former winners include Lee-Anne Pace, Sei-Young Kim, Minjee Lee, Shanshan Feng and Gaby Lopez.
