2026 World SVNS Series final standings

World Rugby SVNs Series concluded in dramatic fashion in New York City with South Africa national rugby sevens team and New Zealand women’s national rugby sevens team crowned overall champions following thrilling finals.

South Africa sealed the men’s SVNS Series title after defeating Fiji national rugby sevens team in the gold medal final in New York. The victory ensured the Blitzboks finished top of the final standings with 106 points,  edging Fiji who ended the campaign second with 104 points.

The result capped a strong season for South Africa, who maintained consistency across the global circuit to reclaim the series crown ahead of the traditionally dominant Fiji side.

Australia national rugby sevens team completed the top three in the men’s standings with 82 points, while New Zealand national rugby sevens team finished fourth on 80 points.

France national rugby sevens team secured fifth place with 76 points, followed by Argentina national rugby sevens team in sixth with 72 points. Spain national rugby sevens team ended the season seventh on 62 points, while Great Britain national rugby sevens team rounded out the top eight with 42 points.

In the women’s competition, New Zealand once again proved unstoppable. The Black Ferns Sevens clinched the SVNS Series title after edging Australia women’s national rugby sevens team in a dramatic final in New York.

The victory saw New Zealand finish the season with 118 points, comfortably ahead of Australia who accumulated 110 points.

United States women’s national rugby sevens team finished third overall with 86 points, while France women’s national rugby sevens team placed fourth on 78 points.

Canada women’s national rugby sevens team ended fifth with 68 points, narrowly ahead of Fiji women’s national rugby sevens team and Japan women’s national rugby sevens team who both finished with 64 points.

Great Britain women’s national rugby sevens team completed the standings in eighth place with 36 points.
