South Africa lead the men’s World SVNS standings after two rounds of the 2024/25 season, following their memorable triumph at the Cape Town Sevens.
The Blitzboks sit top of the table on 32 points after collecting 12 points in Dubai and lifting the title on home soil at DHL Stadium.
Fiji are placed second, also on 32 points, having backed up with 16 points in both Dubai 7s and Cape Town, while New Zealand occupy third spot on the same points tally after winning the season opener in Dubai before falling short in South Africa.
France sit fourth on 28 points, with Australia rounding out the top five on 26 points. Argentina, Great Britain and Spain complete the top eight as the series takes shape heading into the next round.

In the women’s standings, Australia sit comfortably at the summit on 38 points after reaching the final in both tournaments. New Zealand are second on the same points tally but trail on tiebreakers following a split of honours in Dubai and Cape Town.
Japan have climbed into third place on 28 points, with USA (26), France (24) and Fiji (22) close behind in a tightly contested race.
Canada (20) and Great Britain (12) make up the rest of the top eight, as the women’s competition heads into the festive break with the battle for series supremacy already taking shape.
