Mathew Mott has not brought a lot of changes to the white-ball setup after he took over the English side. Anyways, the ECB could be looking at the future. They could have some options in the Hundred 2024. Here, we take a look at the list of three coaches in the Hundred 2024 who could be targeted as the next England white-ball Head Coach.
1) Andrew Flintoff
As Stuart Broad mentioned, Andrew Flintoff would be an inspirational Head Coach for the English side. His first full-time gig will be for the Northern Superchargers in the Hundred 2024. If he does well, he will surely be in contention.
Already, he has the experience of being an assistant coach with the English Team. Flintoff was a great white-ball cricketer and would value to the side.
2) Simon Katich
Simon Katich is one of the coaches in the Hundred 2024 who could be targeted as the next England white-ball Head Coach. The former Australian cricketer has a lot of experience as a Head Coach. He has done the job in the IPL, as well.
He would be an interesting appointment. Simon is an underrated coach and he knows some of the English players very well. Hence, he is on this list.
3) Daniel Vettori
England already has Brendon McCullum from New Zealand as the Head Coach of the Test side. It would not be a surprise if the ECB brings yet another Kiwi to coach the English setup.
Vettori has the credentials to deserve the job. He has been a coach in multiple leagues. He has also been associated with the Australian Team for a while now as an assistant coach. The team has won multiple trophies during this time. In IPL 2024, Vettori displayed his template of the T20 format. It was liked by many and was also successful. Hence, he could be a decent option for the management to consider.
