It is clear that Lucknow Super Giants will go with a minimum of two RTM Cards into the IPL 2025 Auctions. They are likely to retain a foreigner in Nicholas Pooran and might target to get back their overseas core for the next season. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three foreigners LSG can target using the RTM Card in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.
1) Naveen-ul-Haq
Naveen is an intelligent bowler and is developing to become a complete cricketer. Hence, it is very much a wise call if LSG gets him back in the unit.
Naveen is now doing well with the new ball and this would further tempt the side to sign him. Teams such as CSK could be interested in a pacer like him. Hence, the demand will be there.
2) Mark Wood
Mark Wood is one of the foreigners LSG can target using the RTM Card in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. Of course, a lot depends on whether Mark Wood will be available for next season. Also, LSG would use the RTM Card on the Englishman if he is available around the INR 5 Cr mark.
Considering his fitness issues, LSG might not go too far for him. However, since he is a top-bracket pacer, it is always a good option to take a punt on him.
3) Marcus Stoinis
If he was a few years younger, LSG would have surely retained Marcus Stoinis. This happened before the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions. However, Stoinis is getting older and his skills are not as consistent as it was earlier.
Nevertheless, considering he can provide at least two more years, LSG might try to get him back. He adds balance to the setup and would be an ideal complement for Nicholas Pooran in the middle order. His last season’s performances further make this possible.
