It is now the right time for Mumbai Indians to find a domestic partner for Jasprit Bumrah. Having a reliable option will help the management so much in dishing out the playing XI. Mumbai Indians must not make the mistake of going for Tier-2 pacers and must be insistent on a top player. 1) K Khaleel Ahmed
Last Mega Auction itself, Mumbai Indians were interested in the Rajasthan pacer. However, Delhi Capitals signed the cricketer. Now, Khaleel has improved as a player and he also plays for India.
MI needs a player who can provide a threat with the new ball. Jasprit Bumrah should not bowl a lot of overs in the powerplay. To achieve this, MI can target someone like Khaleel, who is a left-hander and is also an excellent new-ball bowler.
2) Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the Indian pacers MI could realistically target as Jasprit Bumrah’s partner in IPL 2025. While many think this could be his last cycle, Bhuvi’s fitness has been good in the recent months and he could push for a few more years.
In the past, India had Bhuvi and Bumrah as the new ball bowlers. Mumbai Indians might want to get this combination back. Bhuvi is good with the new ball and if someone like Bumrah is bowling at the other end, he can also do a decent job in the final few overs, as well.
3) T Natarajan
Many teams will chase T Natarajan in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. It needs to be noted that SRH does not have an RTM Card to get him back.
MI might want to spend the bulk of their remaining purse to get him. He will be the ideal candidate to partner with Bumrah in the death overs.
