3 Indians who had base price of INR 2 Cr in IPL 2022 Auctions but must reduce now to get a bid

Franchises have now become very conscious of spending cash on players. Unless they really need the player, they would not go for them. If the player is being hired for a backup role, teams will surely not spend a lot. This is more the case in a Mega Auction. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who had a base price of INR 2 Cr in IPL 2022 Auctions but must reduce now to get a bid.

1) Devdutt Padikkal

He had just started out but DDP had placed himself in the highest bracket back in IPL 2022. However, the situation is different now.

He did not enjoy success at RR and was a massive disappointment at LSG. There are better options than him available. Hence, unless he drops himself down, he may not get a bid.

2) Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur is one of the Indians who had a base price of INR 2 Cr in IPL 2022 Auctions but must reduce now to get a bid. The experienced man is now not seen as a starter in any of the IPL franchises.

He might only be needed as a backup or an Impact Player. Therefore, teams may not spend a lot on him. Hence, it will be down to Shardul to make himself a viable investment for the team.

3) Deepak Chahar

Injuries have played a vital role in the halt in Deepak Chahar‘s career. Back then in IPL 2022, he was one of the best swing bowlers in India. Hence, he could manage to get a salary of more than INR 14 Cr.

However, since then, he has been poor. He has missed many games due to injury, as well. Younger and fitter cricketers will also be a part of the event. Therefore, Deepak Chahar will have to reduce his base price to become more affordable.
