We are just over one week away from the much-anticipated debut of TNA on the AMC Network. TNA iMPACT Wrestling will make its return to cable television by debuting on AMC on January 15, 2026, at 9:00 pm EST. TNA has announced two Title Matches for this historic night. However, one TNA talent spilled the beans about their match during AMC’s iMPACT debut. In fact, the Tag Team veteran also spoiled his Genesis opponents. Here’s the latest on TNA’s debut on AMC!
Three Title Matches Scheduled for TNA on AMC Debut
Currently, there are just two matches officially announced for the TNA on AMC debut. However, a top TNA Superstar confirmed his role at the event, bringing the advertised match tallies to three.
Matches scheduled for the first episode of TNA iMPACT Wrestling on the AMC Network include:
- TNA World Championship: Frankie Kazarian (Champion) vs. Mike Santana (confirmed by TNA)
- TNA X-Division Championship: Leon Slater (Champion) vs. Myron Reed (confirmed by TNA)
- Six-Man Tag: The Hardys & Elijah vs. Order 4’s Mustafa Ali and The Good Hands (confirmed by Matt Hardy)
The card is subject to change, and the Six-Man Tag hasn’t been made official by TNA yet. However, the announcement is shared on social media with TNA Wrestling and Matt Hardy as collaborators. So, it looks like this match isn’t just rumor and innuendo perpetuated by The Hardys.
Matt Hardy Confirms Elijah’s In-Ring Return on iMPACT
Matt Hardy has been known to overshare a time or two in his career. So, it couldn’t come as a shock that the TNA Tag Team Champion jumped ahead of the gun and announced his next two matches.
The recently re-signed Hardy Boy shared on a podcast:
“On Thursday, the first iMPACT…This hasn’t been announced yet. I’m going to announce it here first and foremost.
We’re going to have a match. It’s going to be The Hardy Boyz teaming up with Elijah in a Six-Man Tag against Order 4, Mustafa Ali and The Great Hands.
That is going to be our debut match Thursday night at the first live iMPACT on AMC. Tell the world, everyone.”
While Matt Hardy confirmed the Six-Man Tag, it hasn’t been announced on TNA television. If Elijiah is to make his in-ring return, that would be a big deal for the AMC debut, especially since his comeback from the torn tricep was advertised for a different date.
Elijah is set to face Mustafa Ali at TNA Genesis on January 17, 2026. This was to be Elijah’s first match since his shoulder injury on NXT. Genesis is just two days after the TNA on AMC debut. So, if the Six-Man Tag Match is on, then Elijiah’s return will be even sooner than anticipated!
Matt Hardy Spoils Genesis Plans: Hardys vs. The Righteous
The announcements from Matt Hardy didn’t end there. He also let the cat out of the bag about his opponents at Genesis. It looks like a growing rivalry will have its first clash at TNA’s first PPV of the year.
Matt Hardy confirmed:
“Did that make people happy? Let’s do another one. Let’s do another one!
At the Pay-Per-View, at Genesis, we are going to have our match with The Righteous. We’ve been wanting it for a while.
The Righteous, they’ve been very weird, cultish, trying to creep us out, play all these mental games.
We are going to battle The Righteous. The Hardys vs. The Righteous. The GOATS, the Greatest of All Time, myself and Brother Nero, we’re going to be battling The Righteous at Genesis on Saturday, the 17th.”
There are just three matches announced for Genesis so far. In addition to Elijah vs. Mustafa Ali, JDC will wrestle Eddie Edwards. As we reported here, Genesis will be the former Fandango’s final wrestling match. He will join the likes of Madison Rayne and Hiroshi Tanahashi in calling it a career by mid-January 2026.
Currently, Leon Slater is slated to defend the X-Division Championship against Moose and Cedric Alexander in a Triple Threat Match at Genesis. However, this defense is contingent on Leon Slater surviving his defense against Myron Reed during the TNA on AMC debut.
While there are only three matches announced for this historic event, TNA has confirmed some talent that will be present or featured.
Who Will Be on iMPACT Wrestling for AMC Network Debut?
Over the last few weeks, TNA has been locking talents down for short-term deals to get through the AMC Network rollout. As the card for the first episode of iMPACT Wrestling on AMC takes shape, TNA is also figuring in key figures for storylines and promos.
Rumored talents to be heavily involved in TNA on AMC include:
- The Hardy Boys
- Leon Slater
- Frankie Kazarian
- Mike Santana
- Order 4
- Indi Hartwell
- Nic Nemeth
- Léi Yǐng Lee
- The IInspiration
- Santino Marella
- AJ Francis
- The Elegance Brand
- Cedric Alexander
- Elijah
- Steve Maclin
- Moose
In addition to the above talent, there is one individual TNA really wants on the debut episode. Rumor has it that TNA is lobbying for WWE to allow AJ Styles to make an appearance.
TNA also wants AJ Styles to wrestle for them before he retires in 2026. The Phenomenal One is open to these ideas, but it remains to be seen if an AJ Styles-TNA return is in the cards.
