As per reports, Zaheer Khan could become the next Mentor and Bowling Coach of Lucknow Super Giants. It would be a good appointment for LSG if that happens. Zaheer is a legend and is known to help the youngsters a lot. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three pacers Zaheer Khan could target and groom for LSG if he becomes the Mentor.
1) Umran Malik
Umran Malik rose quickly to fame. However, it has not gone well for him since then. After playing for India, he was expected to be an option in the T20 format, at least. That has not happened for the J&K lad.
Even at SRH, he has struggled to get opportunities. A mentor like Zaheer Khan could actually help a youngster like him. He has potential and Zaheer could tap into it.
2) Kartik Tyagi
Kartik Tyagi is one of the pacers Zaheer Khan could target and groom for LSG if he becomes the Mentor. A few years ago, Kartik was seen as one of India’s future all-format bowlers. He was one of the net bowlers when India won the famous BGT a few years ago.
However, injuries and bad form have hampered his progress. He has not been the same since then. May be, he needs a new guide to put his career back on track. Under Zaheer Khan, that could happen. Hence, he is on this list.
3) Kwena Maphaka
The teenager represented Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. It was a tough beginning for him. However, seeing his talent, he will only improve and grow further.
