3 players from sister franchises whom KKR could target for IPL 2025

Unfortunately, KKR will have to disturb their squad before IPL 2025. With a Mega Auction likely to happen, the team will have to be built from scratch again. KKR likes to hire the same set of players across different leagues. Since they have quite a few outfits elsewhere, they can hire some players from the other teams. Here, we take a look at the list of three players from sister franchises whom KKR could target for IPL 2025.

1) Akeal Hosein

Barring Anukul Roy, KKR did not have a reliable left-arm spinner in IPL 2024. While they won the trophy, going forward, they must have a reliable bowler of this bowling type. Akeal, who represents the Knight Riders in the West Indies, is a good fit.

He is one of the best spinners in the format and he is also a good hitter in the lower order. The profile perfectly fits with the philosophy of KKR.

2) David Miller

David Miller is one of the players from sister franchises whom KKR could target for IPL 2025. Rinku Singh is the future finisher for KKR. It is not sure if Andre Russell can get back to the form he was once in.

Hence, the team can plan to have David Miller also in the squad. He is experienced and the LA Knight Riders batter can offer some learnings to Rinku Singh. It will help KKR in many ways. Hence, the South African cricketer is on this list.

3) Josh Little

The Irish pacer is a part of the Knight Riders’ setup in as many as three franchises. Hence, it is very likely that KKR will also target the Gujarat Titans cricketer.

It is not sure if Mitchell Starc will return to play in the IPL. Hence, having a younger left-arm pacer like Little could help the side. He could also find success at the Eden Gardens with his variations.
