3 players unlucky to miss out on India’s T20I squad for the tour of South Africa

India will play four T20Is against South Africa in Novemeber. The squad was named recently. Here, we take a look at the list of three players unlucky to miss out on India’s T20I squad for the tour of South Africa.

India’s squad for 4 T20Is against South Africa: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (WK), Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Jitesh Sharma (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ramandeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Avesh Khan, Yash Dayal.

1) B Sai Sudharsan

One of the best players in IPL 2024, it is unlucky that Sai is not getting a chance in any of the squads. It would have been a great platform for him to play in South Africa, a place where he made his debut last year.

Since Abhishek is not in great form for the senior side, it is a good idea to give him competition. Sai would have been very ideal for this role.

2) Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad is one of the players unlucky to miss out on India’s T20I squad for the tour of South Africa. Many felt he would be on the flight to Australia but he missed that squad. Now, he is not on this squad, either.

Ruturaj has played in the middle-order, which could have been an option. Anyways, the likes of Abhishek Sharma need competition and Ruturaj can be the perfect choice.

3) Rasikh Salam

He has done extremely well in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Rasikh is a player who can bowl pace and is known for his variations and accuracy at death.

Plus, he also adds some value with the bat. With his recent form, he would have been a good choice. For him, it is a bit unlucky when players who did not play for India A like Vyshak got selected.
