Dwayne Bravo is a top bowling coach and Bharat Arun is also one of the best in the country. With Bravo joining KKR as Mentor, the team will now have two top bowling coaches in the backroom. Hence, they could consider taking up a few projects which will help KKR in the future. A few of them could involve helping out a few out-of-favour pacers. Here, we take a look at the list of three struggling Indian pacers Dwayne Bravo and Bharat Arun could target for KKR.
1) Umran Malik
Umran Malik has fallen out of favour from both his IPL side and also the Indian Team. With the pace he generated, many felt he was going to do better in his career. However, it has stalled at the moment.
KKR can take up this project of bringing Umran back to his best. If the J&K pacer realizes his potential, KKR will have a superstar for the future and so will Team India.
2) Shivam Mavi
Shivam Mavi is one of the struggling Indian pacers Dwayne Bravo and Bharat Arun could target for KKR. It was at KKR that Mavi came into the limelight. However, after leaving KKR, he has not played a single game in IPL. Last season, he was ruled out due to an injury.
A quality new-ball bowler, Mavi can be more than useful with the Impact Player Rule. He is also decent with the bat. With Mavi already having spent a lot of time at KKR, the management could sanction his signing again.
3) Kartik Tyagi
A few years ago, Kartik Tyagi was said to be the next big thing in India. However, he has not been able to get close to the Indian Team. Fitness and form have been the major issues.
While KKR did consider his signature in IPL 2024 Auctions, they did not proceed. That said, with an aim to build an attack for the future, they could try to target him again at the next auctions.
