CSK is a franchise that places a lot of focus on the homegrown fans. However, in recent years, the franchise has not had a Tamil Nadu cricketer feature consistently in the playing XI. That could change, though, in the next cycle. There are quite a few local cricketers who could wear the yellow jersey shortly. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Tamil Nadu cricketers CSK might target in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.
1) R Ashwin
R Ashwin will be a wise pick for CSK. He may not cost much but could serve the franchise for the next three years. He has the fitness to do that.
Ashwin will also be perfect for the Chepauk pitch, which is anyways the home venue for the player, as well. The fans will also please to welcome back the legend.
2) T Natarajan
T Natarajan is one of the Tamil Nadu cricketers CSK might target in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. Nattu is one player every CSK fan would want to have in the team. His credentials also fit the needs of the franchise.
Natarajan is an intelligent cricketer and is also consistent. SRH does not have an RTM Card to retain him. Hence, if CSK really wants him, they could, as well, get the player.
3) Washington Sundar
There are reports that CSK has placed a strong interest in Sundar. Considering the form that he is in and the fact that he is a local cricketer, Sundar will be an excellent pick for the franchise.
His IPL form is not great but at CSK, he would get backing from the management and the pitch also. MS Dhoni and CSK like to use the secondary skills of their cricketers often. In this regard, it would not be a surprise if Sundar gets to play in the top-order, as well.
