3 teams which could target Mohammed Shami in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions

Mohammed Shami has a few injury problems but he is still one of the best pacers in India. Surely, there will be good demand for him at the auctions. That said, seeing his injury-record, the bid may not be too high, as well. Here, we take a look at the list of three teams which could target Mohammed Shami in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.

1) Chennai Super Kings

CSK will need an experienced partner for Matheesha Pathirana. The issue with Deepak Chahar was he was injury-prone and the consistency was missing. Hence, the franchise may not target a player like him again.

Instead, someone like Shami will be a proper fit at the franchise. With his experience and pedigree, he will be able to guide the likes of Pathirana along with himself delivering for the franchise.

2) Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals is one of the teams which could target Mohammed Shami in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. Sandeep Sharma will surely not be the leader of the pace attack. An Indian pace speedster is definitely a need.

RR does not have a big purse and hence, they will have to identify their targets accordingly. Shami will be a very good choice for the side. He has the experience to do well under Rahul Dravid at the franchise.

3) Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians will be desperate to have a reliable domestic pace partner for Jasprit Bumrah. Yes, he might be injury prone but if Shami plays most of the games in IPL 2025, with Bumrah at the other end, the team might enter the playoffs easily.

Also, with the purse that MI has, they may not get younger pacers like Arshdeep Singh. They might have to target someone like Shami or Bhuvneshwar, who could be available at a cheap price.
