There’s been quite some mileage put in over our 4J Indoor Season.
And we are not talking laps of the 200m track at the superb venue that is the Emirates Arena; although without question that would ‘run’ to tens of thousands.
We are referring, instead, to the commitment to competition from athletes, coaches, parents, club volunteers and, of course, our dedicated team of scottishathletics Officials in converging on Glasgow from across competition for various events.
From a busy National Open early in January through to the conclusion of the Age Group Champs on Sunday, all of the above have made a contribution to making memories at the Emirates.
We have sought to capture that across our channels via stunning photography from Bobby Gavin and lots of video content on Instagram adn YouTube.
In terms of outstanding performances from Sunday’s U14 Champs and remaining U20 events, we will update on that within this story in due course. Thanks for your patience.

Here are a few highlights we have picked up from social media . . .
*Kilmarnock Harriers celebrated no fewer than three national champions at the 4J Age Groups on Sunday.
Rhian Mitchell stepped up an age group to win U20 Men’s shot with Cara Monachello similarly taking the U20 women 400m title.
Adding to those successes, there was gold for Jamie Work in the U20 Men 1500m.
*James Anderson won the U20 Men’s High Jump after flying into Glasgow from the Isle of Lewis
Coached (remotely) by Linda Nicholson, James delivered a PB of 1.95m to land gold.
And this after the Stornoway RAC youngster stepped up an age group.
*The nature of these champs means they should be nationwide so brilliant to welcome to the Emirates young athletes from Orkney Athletic and Running Club.
We note across the club’s social media some fine performances and indeed Orkney age group records on Sunday (for Abi Coltherd and Emily McArthur).
AS with all our clubs, thanks to coaches, parents and club volunteers for helping guide these young athletes and give them opportunities.

In terms of performances at U14 level, it was an excellent day for Harrison Brand of East Kilbride AC.
Harrison set a Scottish U14 Record with his 60m victory at 7.45 seconds. He also claimed gold later in the day on Sunday by winning the 200m final.
Aberdeen athlete Karley Paterson completed a gold double with her 200m victory after Long Jump success, too.
Harmeny AC’s Cadha McLuskey won the U14 Girls 60m and 60m Hurdles.

*Finally, see below, club 1-2-3 podium seems quite rare but that’s what happened in our U20 Women’s pole vault for VP-Glasgow.
Rebecca Digger took the gold and was joined in the medals by her VP-Glasgow club-mates, Erin Partridge and Liesl Cable.
Should be good vibes in that training group this week . . .
