Here is what to know about the Super Bowl oddsboard:
The Favorite(s): The top spot is firmly in the grasp of the Seahawks, who dominated the 49ers in San Francisco to close out their regular season. With that win, they clinched the NFC West title and the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. The Rams remained second on the board after a 34-31 wild-card win over the Panthers in Carolina, and the Pats sit in third after a 16-3 win over the Chargers to open the postseason, moving from +950 to +550.
Ones to Watch: At one point during the wild-card game between Green Bay and Chicago, the Bears’ Super Bowl odds dipped all the way to +8000, as they trailed 21-3 at halftime and 21-6 going into the fourth quarter. However, Chicago exploded in the final frame, scoring 25 points in the quarter to emerge with a 31-27 win. With that, Da Bears moved to +1500 and now sit at +1600. The Bills moved from +1000 to +600 with their wild-card win at Jacksonville, and the 49ers moved from +3500 to +1900 by eliminating the defending champion Eagles in the wild card.
The Defending Champs: The Eagles are out. The reigning champions hosted San Francisco in the wild-card round, and it ended up being their lone playoff game, as they fell 23-19. Philadelphia had made it to two of the last three Super Bowls before Sunday’s loss.
