Cody Rhodes is all set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship at the upcoming SummerSlam where he will be taking on the mighty Enforcer, Solo Sikoa who is now spearheading the charge for Bloodline 2.0. With wild speculations coming in ahead of the biggest festival of summer, the rumour mill has been churning out canards which state that Roman Reigns may finally make his return and he may be flanked by Zila Fatu and Paul Heyman.
However, keeping all of these rumours aside, Cody Rhodes made a heartbreaking call which is going to take a toll on his beloved furry friend, Pharoah. As per one of the latest Instagram posts, he pointed out that Pharoah likes to stay back home and relax instead of going for long road trips.
Here is what Cody Rhodes had to say about Pharoah
Rhodes wrote, “Pharaoh is 13 now – still thriving but slowing down a bit. I am taking him on his final work road trip. These days he’s more comfortable keeping eyes on Libby Curls and hard napping at the house. All the treats (for dogs and humans), and all the love. He’s been a constant for me and hands down the most loyal friend. Love ya’ buddy.”
Ahead of Rhodes’ title defence at SummerSlam, his fellow wrestler in AEW, Matt Hardy sang paeans about the American Nightmare, calling him the face of the industry. From being Stardust to climbing the ladder all the way to the top, Rhodes registered an iconic journey all the way to the top which every single member of the WWE Universe loved.
At SummerSlam he pointed out that like the way he staved off Roman Reigns and the Rock, similarly, he will be going out for the jugular of Solo Sikoa. However, with Solo’s henchmen around him in the form of Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga, this is going to be a contest to savour.
