El Fantasma made a special appearance on the latest episode of AAA on FOX, watching the action from the front row during the January 17th taping.
The lucha legend, father of WWE star Santos Escobar, enjoyed the show as AAA continues to feature Escobar in its storylines following his WWE return.
A veteran of more than four decades, El Fantasma debuted in 1979 and went on to wrestle for CMLL, AAA, WWE, and several other promotions. He won the IWL Independent Heavyweight Championship in 2015–2016 and wrestled his final match in May 2022 for Promotora Bobby Lee.
Escobar recently returned to AAA, attacking Latin American Champion El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. after re-signing with WWE in October. While Escobar didn’t appear on the latest episode, Wagner addressed him briefly after retaining his title against Mecha Wolf.
