Sean O’Malley appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show following his most recent win over Song Yadong to answer several burning questions.
This past weekend, O’Malley and Yadong locked horns in the co-main event at UFC 324, where the American fighter cruised to a unanimous decision victory in a closely contested affair and snapped his two-fight losing skid.

Despite many netizens arguing with the scorecards, O’Malley told Helwani during the aforementioned sit-down that he is convinced he won the fight as he did more damage in the final stanza and busted open his opponent’s nose.
After talking about the fight, O’Malley informed Helwani about his new house and that he’s slowly moving in furniture and other stuff.
Sean O’Malley issues apology to fans who were offended after ‘Suga’ wore mask At first faceoff with Song Yadong
On the show, Ariel Helwani also asked Sean O’Malley if he regrets the mask stunt, which he pulled during the first face-off with Song Yadong.
For the unversed, ‘Suga’ wore a surgical face mask during his first face-off with the Chinese fighter. Many fans, and even ‘Kung Fu Kid,’ were not happy with the move. Yadong labelled the stunt as “totally racist” and stated in a previous interview that O’Malley is trying to be the next Conor McGregor.
On The Ariel Helwani Show, O’Malley confessed that he didn’t mean to offend anyone by wearing a mask during the staredown. However, he apologizes to anyone who got offended:
“To the people that I offended, I’m sorry. That was not my intention. My entire career, I kind of built it off this comedic, humorous, kind of pushing‑the‑lines thing. That’s what I built my brand on. That was not even in my mind. I didn’t think, ‘Oh, the Chinese are going to be offended by this.’ Didn’t even cross my mind. If I had thought that before, I wouldn’t have done it because I didn’t want it to come off as that. My intentions weren’t to offend anybody. It was supposed to be kind of a silly little thing.”
Sean O’Malley added that he got a lot of love from Chinese fans before and after the UFC 324 bout and thinks he did not offend that many people:
“So I do apologize to anybody I offended, but the amount of Chinese fans that came up to me and loved me… Even fight week before the fight, I’m like, I guess I didn’t offend that many people, or they’re just lying. Do I regret it? I guess in a sense if I hurt people’s feelings, that’s not my intention.”
