Pre-Qualifying III winner Jhared Hack of the US grinded his way into the day two lead of the PGTI’s 2026 Q School Final Stage in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

Hack shot a second straight 2 under par 70 to total 4 under 140 for a three-shot lead at the Kensville Golf & Country Club, the PGTI said.

Shubham Jaglan, a two-time runner-up on the PGTI last season, returned a 71 to end the day in tied second place at 1 under 143 alongside Sawai Hamendra Singh Bhati (71).

The halfway cut fell at 11 over 155, and from a field of 131, the top 82 including 16 amateurs and 14 overseas players made the final two rounds.

Tied for second overnight two off the pace, Hack came up with five birdies and three bogeys on Wednesday including gains on all four Par-5s with some solid wedge-play.

He also produced a terrific approach shot on the fourth that led to a birdie.

Shaky start

“I had a shaky start today as I missed some short putts early on,” Hack said.

“However, I played some solid golf thereafter. Importantly, I stayed patient despite the early reverses and that helped me come up with some quality shots as I hit a lot of fairways.

“Tee to green was quite stress-free for me in the later stages of the round.”

Rohit Baisoya was fourth on level par 144, 16-year-old Kartik Singh, 17-year-old amateur Pritish Singh Karayat and Joysurjo Dey were tied for fifth on 1 over 145.

Overnight leader Ram Pal (78) of Chandimandir had a difficult second day but was inside the top 10 also on 145.

The top 47 players will earn full cards for the 2026 PGTI season after Friday’s final round.
