Isaac Price held back from confronting away end after West Brom’s 3-0 defeat to Portsmouth

Pompey boss John Mousinho told BBC Radio Solent: “It was the best performance of the season and an important result. I was really impressed with the first half. The second half was a different display but it was really professional.

“From the first minute we pinned them in and won the physical duels.

“The energy and quality was there. And putting those two together is something we have struggled with this season.

“The big thing that has been missing is putting the ball in the back of the net and getting into the final third and creating a bit more.

“But today we were relentless in terms of getting into the final third and creating chances.”

Twitter users gave their reaction after seeing Isaac Price being held back from confronting away end after West Brom’s 3-0 defeat to Portsmouth…

@heal1979: Its actually sad to watch this clip. What has gone wrong. Worst for 35 years of supporting us. 😢

@StephensM77WBA: I’d suggest they don’t do their warm ups in the corner by the BRE next week. They’re in prime position for pelters

@JDWBA2: Wheres the leaders/captain in this situation as well? Why is Dike the only one with any fuckin sense?? #wba

@ItsSamson2: That was an absolutely shameful display. Players don’t give a toss, they’ve got no heart. Ramsay – what on earth did you spend a weeks training on with this lot because there was no plan, just hoof and hope. If that’s all you have to offer then kindly get lost. #wba

@ots_09: so childish from price. he’s been awful and can’t handle it 😂😂

@talkwba: Take us down. We need a factory reset from top to bottom.

@Rondxnn: Ramsay out tonight. Nestor Out tonight. Absolutely destroying the club.

@stemciom: @shilensays time to put on your big boy pants and sack @AndrewMNestor and Ramsey, you absolute fucking clown

@_camwba: Unlucky lads, might’ve been different if we had any players with a set of bollocks. Onwards and downwards.

@ftbl_mouraa: Players not fit to wear the shirt. Manager not fit to steer us forward. Owners not fit for football. We are fucked.

@JackRansom4: Shambolic. Hiring Ramsay was a disgrace. Zero structure or quality. Players are still bad and have no grit, but they now also look fearful and lost. Only going to get worse 👎🏻

@JonW1995: It was embarrassing enough that we were in a relegation 6 pointer against Portsmouth, but to get absolutely thrashed is a whole new level. Why do we never get a new manager bounce? 🤦🏻‍♂️

@_andrewwww: I have seen some SHIT over the years, but it’s NEVER been this bad. No fight, no passion, no quality, no clue. The lack of effort alone is unforgivable. Everyone associated with this club should hang their hands in shame. What an absolute disaster of a year. 😥 @WBA #wba

@suttonbaggie: You’re not fit to wear the shirt! Ringing out #wba

@Rees_wba: It’s hard to see at this point if the owners have any sort of clue on what to do? Just because they stepped in and ‘saved’ us, using that term very loosely by the way. What else have they done apart from sell our best players and send us into a relegation battle? 😂 #WBA

@WBAoscar: We aren’t playing youth, we aren’t getting our most creative players into dangerous areas and we can’t even play a flat back ten. He hasn’t changed anything in four terrible games. Why will it change? #wba
