An Emmy-winning talk show is ending so its superstar host can spend more time with her family.
Kelly Clarkson announced Monday night that the “The Kelly Clarkson Show” will end this year after seven seasons.
“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS,” Clarkson wrote in a statement posted on social media. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for.”
The host went on to say that it “was not an easy decision” to end the show, but that Clarkson, 43, needed to call it quits so she can focus on her children, which include 11-year-old River Rose and 9-year-old Remington “Remy” Alexander.
“Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” Clarkson wrote. “This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on ‘The Voice’ from time to time … you never know where I might show up next. But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”
Clarkson’s announcement comes after her ex-husband and former manager, Brandon Blackstock, died at 48 in August 2025. Blackstock, who was also the father of Clarkson’s two children, had been battling cancer for three years.
Production on Season 7 of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” will continue as previously planned, Variety reported. Final episodes will air this fall and feature special guest hosts that will be revealed at a later date, the outlet reported.
Premiering in 2019, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” features Clarkson as she interviews celebrities and non-celebrities with inspirational stories. Clarkson opens each show with a “Kellyoke” segment, in which she and her band cover another artist’s song. The show frequently hosts a “Songs & Stories” episode where Clarkson dives deep into the work of artists such as Alanis Morissette, Babyface, Miranda Lambert and Pink.
Throughout its run, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” has won 24 Daytime Emmys, including four consecutive wins for both outstanding daytime talk series and talk show host, Variety reported.
