Arsenal welcome fierce London rivals Chelsea to The Emirates on Tuesday night for the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

The Gunners returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday night with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Leeds United, and Mikel Arteta’s side also boast a 3-2 aggregate advantage over the Blues after the first leg of their semi at Stamford Bridge last month.

Chelsea have impressed in the early stages of Liam Rosenior’s tenure as head coach, though, and the Blues will arrive in north London in fine form.

Away from the action, it has emerged that the Premier League leaders are in talks about a shock move to sign a Scottish teenager.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are in discussions with Scottish side Hearts about a surprise move for striker James Wilson.

He claims that the Gunners are interested in an initial loan move for the 18-year-old centre forward.

Wilson is a product of the Jam Tarts’ youth academy and has scored eight goals in 45 games for the club at senior level.

He has started just one of their Scottish Premiership matches so far this term, though, with Derek McInnes’ side currently sitting top of the table.

Wilson was handed his senior debut for the Scotland national side in March last year, featuring as a substitute in their 3-0 defeat against Greece in the Nations League play-offs.

The young striker is currently contracted to Hearts until the summer of 2027, but it appears that Arsenal are keen to lure the Scot to London this year.

The two clubs are said to currently be in negotiations about an initial loan move, but it isn’t clear whether or not that would include an option or obligation for the Gunners to sign the striker permanently.
