Chelsea were knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the semi-final stage following a 1-0 defeat against Arsenal in the second leg on Tuesday.

The Blues were trailing 3-2 from the first leg of the semi last month, but prevented the Gunners from creating many chances and looked the more likely of the two sides to score.

Head coach Liam Rosenior sent Cole Palmer and Estevao on midway through the second half as the visitors searched desperately for a goal at The Emirates, but they were unable to find one and former Chelsea striker Kai Havertz eventually broke the deadlock to put the hosts in front, sealing a 4-2 aggregate victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.

In the wake of the game, however, it has emerged that Chelsea are plotting an audacious move to sign a talented Brazilian.

As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, via CaughtOffside, Chelsea are hoping to land Real Madrid star Endrick this summer and are willing to sell Liam Delap in order to fund the move.

Endrick, 19, was sent on loan to French side Lyon in January, having featured just once for Real in La Liga during the first half of the season under Xabi Alonso.

Since moving to France, though, the teenage forward has scored four goals in as many games, as well as providing one assist.

The report claims that Chelsea are eyeing a move to sign the Brazil international, and the west London side would be willing to sell struggling forward Delap in order to fund a move to sign the Real Madrid star.

Chelsea are said to be prepared to make an offer of around £60 million for the player, who is contracted to his parent club until the end of the 2029/20 campaign.

Despite Chelsea’s interest in Endrick, it isn’t yet clear whether or not Real Madrid would consider selling the attacker when he returns to the Spanish capital this month.
