One of the biggest questions after the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble was, who attacked Bron Breakker before he could even get going?
As Breakker made his way down to the ring, a masked man suddenly jumped on him. The surprise attack made it easy for Oba Femi to eliminate him immediately. Since then, the WWE Universe has been trying to figure out who was under the mask.
At first, the speculation ran rampant. Many thought it might be Logan Paul, since the attacker had a similar build. But Paul denied it vehemently.
The mystery only grew on RAW. During a heated segment with The Vision, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce said that the last time he saw a masked man attack someone, the culprit turned out to be Austin Theory. This comment just sowed more seeds of doubt inside the faction.
Paul Heyman, on the other hand, seemed convinced he knew the attacker. WWE released the backstage footage of the eliminated wrestlers being carried out of the Rumble. There, Heyman could be seen claiming that Seth Rollins was behind the attack. The masked man even used a move that looked just like Rollins’ Stomp, which made his accusations feel believable.
But there was a catch. Rollins had said he wouldn’t be present in Saudi Arabia during the Royal Rumble. Moreover, Breakker himself said in the backstage video in utter disbelief, “He had surgery like a month ago, dude.”
That made it hard to believe he physically carried out the attack, though some fans wondered if WWE had a trick up its sleeve, like the time Rollins did with his knee injury against CM Punk.
Now, a new report has added another twist.
Identity Of Bron Breakker’s Royal Rumble Attacker Reportedly Revealed
According to the High Spots Podcast, the person under the mask was actually Grayson Waller. The report claims Waller was pulled from NXT live events so he could be in Riyadh, even though he wasn’t advertised for the show.
The idea is that WWE needed someone who looked and moved a bit like Rollins to sell the moment. Waller supposedly acted as a stand-in, even hitting the Stomp to make fans think Rollins was responsible.

Still, that might not be the full story. Waller may have just been filling in, with the long-term plan still being that Rollins is the true mastermind behind it all.
WWE hasn’t confirmed anything on TV yet, and there is no official word on when Seth Rollins will return. However, he is expected to return before WrestleMania 42. So, the mystery is still alive, even if backstage reports have given fans a peek behind the curtain.
