CONCORD, N.C. — Five Star Bodies and MD3 are expanding their partnership with World Racing Group in 2026, supporting three rookie of the year programs and a bonus incentive across multiple series.
In addition to providing racers around the world with elite race car body panels, windows, and components, the two companies will be top supporters of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision, Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Models, and several other DIRTcar-sanctioned divisions.
Five Star Bodies will be associated with a legendary name in sprint car racing, joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series as the new sponsor of the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award. MD3 will continue its support of the World of Outlaws Late Model and Super DIRTcar Series Rookie of the Year programs, along with providing a bonus for weekly points leaders during the 2026 DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Model tour.
“Supporting rookie-of-the-year programs is something we are genuinely proud of,” said Corey Schultz, co-CEO of Five Star.
“These drivers are the future of dirt racing, and if we can help them get started with the right equipment and a little extra incentive, that is a win for everyone involved, the racers, the teams, and the sport as a whole,” added Garrett Schultz, co-CEO of Five Star.
The top three rookies at the end of the season with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and World of Outlaws Late Models will each receive a bonus. A new top-of-range body and $10,000 check will go to each Rookie of the Year winner, while the second-highest finishing rookies will get $3,000, and third will get $2,000.
Five Star Bodies – for the sprint cars – and MD3 – for the late models – will also award $100 to the highest finishing rookie of each race.
Stout rookie classes with the sprint cars and late models will be competing for those prizes. Currently, the 2026 World of Outlaws Sprint Car rookie class includes Emerson Axsom, Scott Bogucki, Kasey Jedrzejek, Scotty Thiel, and Ashton Torgerson. And the late model class includes Eli Johnson, Trey Mills, Todd Morrow, Daulton Wilson and Logan Zarin.
The Rookie of the Year with the Super DIRTcar Series will get a $500 MD3 product certificate and a new top-of-range body.
A $500 MD3 product certificate will also go to the five weekly champions with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Models.
