Expect to see a few more Monster Energy banners and cans during the 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series. On January 27, Warner Bros. Discovery announced the energy drink as a main sponsor going forward.

Monster Energy will be present at all 14 UCI mountain bike events, starting with the Race of South Korea at the beginning of May. While the contract duration isn’t specified, the announcement was for a “long-term partnership” between the brands.

For diehard World Cup watchers, seeing any energy drink sponsor other than Red Bull could be an interesting transition. For years, Red Bull TV brought the World Cup races to homes across the United States. Loyal viewers will remember seeing banners and coolers full of the energy drink at the finish line.

But Monster Energy has also been present throughout the years, supporting DH racing icons such as Sam Hill, Brendan Fairclough, and Steve Peat. In 2025, Monster supported Amaury Pierron, Marine Cabirou, Loris Vegier, Luca Shaw, Thibaut Daprela, and Troy Bronsan.

A few of them even found a podium or two.

“Mountain bike is one of the most progressive and exciting disciplines in global sport, and the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series represents the very pinnacle of competition,” Daniel McHugh, Chief Marketing Officer at Monster Energy, said. “Monster Energy has a long history of supporting athletes and events that push limits and inspire fans, and we’re proud to partner with Warner Bros. Discovery Sports to elevate the experience for riders and audiences worldwide. We’re excited to bring our energy, creativity, and passion for the sport to every stop on the series.”
