Ric Flair isn’t stepping back in the ring—at least not according to his latest outburst.
After casually entertaining the idea of wrestling Ricky Morton during a virtual autograph signing with K & S WrestleFest on February 5, Flair has now reversed course completely.
“First, Let Me Clear Something Up! I Will Never Wrestle Again. I’m Heading To Flair Country. Charleston, South Carolina Get Ready! The Nature Boy And @FitermanSports Are Taking Over @SpookyEmpire This Weekend! If You Want To Be The Best, You Gotta Be With The Best! Come See Me Saturday & Sunday!”
This came after Flair raised eyebrows by saying he was “thinking about it” when the idea of facing Morton came up. He also hinted that the idea of another match gave him purpose:
“Not that far from—way off on financial terms, of course.”
“Sometimes I need something to motivate me, man. Just to go to the gym every day for nothing is…”
But whatever motivation he might’ve been weighing didn’t last long. The update is clear, blunt, and very much in Flair’s voice—“I will never wrestle again.”
Is this truly the end—or just another Ric Flair swerve? Sound off below.
