The national Women’s 7’s teams from Argentina and Brazil are preparing for upcoming international sevens series competition, the SVNS 2. Argentina’s team, Las Yaguaretés, booked their spot in the recent competition in Dubai. The series will comprise three tournaments in Kenya, Uruguay and Brazil.
Las Yaguaretés are training at Casa Pumas in Buenos Aires this week. The three day camp from February 5-7 is the preparation before traveling to Nairobi, Kenya for the first of three SVNS 2 tournaments. The African event will take place on February 14-15.
Subsequent SVNS 2 events will be in Montevideo, Uruguay (March 21-22) and São Paulo, Brazil (March 28-29). Argentina is one of six teams, joining Brazil, China, Kenya, South Africa and Spain.
Las Yaguaretés’ roster for Nairobi is unchanged to that from the SVNS 3 in Dubai. Meanwhile, As Yaras are in the final phase of presiding for Nairobi. They are doing so with an expanded roster of 25 players. Head Coach Crystal Kaua will reduce the roster to travel to Kenya. The final roster will not include Raquel Kochhann. The veteran of three Olympic Games is now focused on refereeing.
