Nita Ambani congratulated the young Indian team after they clinched the ICC Under-19 Men’s World Cup for the sixth time with a dominant win against England in the final on February 6 in Harare.

In a media release congratulating the team, Nita Ambani said, “Heartiest congratulations to our Boys in Blue on winning the ICC U19 World Cup for a record sixth time — a truly historic and inspiring achievement.”

She further added, “You have played with courage, discipline, and belief beyond your years. This triumph is not just a trophy — it is a powerful signal of the spirit of Young India: fearless in ambition, united in teamwork, and relentless in pursuit of excellence. May this victory be the beginning of many greater milestones ahead. The future of Indian cricket shines brighter because of you.”

In the final, India posted a record-breaking total of 411/9 in 50 overs. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the standout performer, producing an extraordinary knock of 175 runs off just 80 balls. His innings included 15 fours and 15 sixes at a strike rate of 218.75. Captain Ayush Mhatre (53), Abhigyan Kundu (40) and Kanishk Chouhan (37*) also contributed crucial runs.

England had no answer to India’s destructive batting, though James Minto picked up three wickets. Sebastian Morgan and Alex Green chipped in with two wickets each.

In reply, England fought hard as Caleb Falconer struck 115 runs and Ben Dawkins added 66, but they could not take the team over the line. RS Ambrish was the pick of the Indian bowlers with three wickets, while Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chouhan claimed two wickets each to bowl England out for 311 in 40.2 overs.
