The Miz Fixes Nose Mid-Match After Apparent Injury On WWE SmackDown

The Miz had a brief but noticeable moment during his February 6 WWE SmackDown match that got fans buzzing, appearing to reset his nose mid-bout after taking a shot to the face.

While the spot looked painful, there has been no official confirmation that The Miz suffered a broken nose or any legitimate injury.

The moment occurred during The Miz’s match against United States Champion Carmelo Hayes, following an earlier verbal confrontation with Ilja Dragunov.

As the match progressed, cameras caught Miz adjusting his nose before continuing, selling the damage like only a veteran who protects his “Moneymaker” can.

The bout continued without medical stoppage, and Miz finished the match on his own power.

Hayes ultimately picked up the win after countering the Skull Crushing Finale into The First 48, capping off a competitive nine-minute match.

Miz controlled stretches of the contest, even finding time to mock Hayes with a basketball taunt, proving he can still talk trash and throw hands in the same breath. If selling pain were a championship, Miz would already have a Hall of Fame ring.

The apparent nose issue quickly sparked speculation online, but there were no reports of fractures or backstage medical concerns.

Given Miz’s history, it may have been another case of elite-level selling. He’s leaned into facial damage before, most famously in 2016 when AJ Styles knocked out his front veneers — an incident WWE turned into storyline gold with post-show footage of dental repairs.

Friday’s moment fit that familiar playbook. Miz has built an entire career on making moments matter, whether it’s winning titles or reminding viewers that his face pays the bills. Sometimes the best offense isn’t a move — it’s knowing how to sell one.

For now, The Miz remains intact, his “Moneymaker” still camera-ready, and SmackDown rolls on without a dent — or at least without one confirmed.
