Top seed De Minaur faces Fils in first round

The ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament draw ceremony was held on Saturday afternoon, resulting in a whole host of marquee matchups in what is an absolutely stacked field — even with Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev having withdrawn.

Alex de Minaur is the No. 1 seed, but the draw did not do him any favors. The Aussie has to go up against Arthur Fils in the opening round before possibly facing Stan Wawrinka in the last 16 and Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals. Daniil Medvedev and Ugo Humbert also find themselves in the top half of the bracket, and they are going head-to-head right off the bat.

In addition to De Minaur vs. Fils and Medvedev vs. Humbert, other first-round matches to watch are Alexander Bublik vs. Hubert Hurkacz, Tallon Griekspoor vs. Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, and Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Alexei Popyrin.

Auger-Aliassime, the No. 2 seed, is currently playing in Montpellier — where he will try to defend his 2025 title against Adrian Mannarino on Sunday.
