Manchester United continued their impressive run of form with a 2-0 win against 10-man Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Spurs were reduced to 10 in the first-half when Cristian Romero was sent off for a strong challenge on United midfielder Casemiro, and the hosts went ahead shortly after courtesy of Bryan Mbeumo.

Bruno Fernandes then doubled United’s advantage late on at Old Trafford, extending Michael Carrick’s winning streak to four games at the start of his tenure as the club’s caretaker head coach.

Away from the action, it is emerging that United are keeping tabs on a Chelsea forward.

According to TEAMtalk, Man United are monitoring striker Liam Delap’s situation at Stamford Bridge.

The Englishman was previously on the Red Devils’ radar during his time with Ipswich Town last season, but he ultimately moved to Chelsea last summer.

Delap has struggled since joining the Blues, though, scoring just once in 15 Premier League games for the west London outfit.

It is claimed that the Englishman – who was tipped for an England call-up during his time with the Tractor Boys last term – is effectively playing for his future during the second half of the campaign.

Delap has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the first team at Stamford Bridge, starting just nine of Chelsea’s 24 league games.

The striker signed a long-term deal when joining Chelsea for a fee of £30 million last summer, and is therefore contracted to the London side until the end of the 2030/31 campaign.

His lack of effectiveness in front of goal hasn’t helped his cause, though, and the report suggests that Chelsea may decide they are willing to allow him to leave at the end of the season if his form doesn’t improve.
