Cam Davis delivered one of the most exciting moments of the WM Phoenix Open when he nearly made a hole‑in‑one on the par‑4 17th at TPC Scottsdale.
Taking an aggressive line with his driver, the Australian watched his ball land on the front of the green and roll directly toward the cup before slipping just past the hole.
The near miss left him only a few feet for eagle, and the crowd erupted at just how close he had come to an incredibly rare albatross on a par‑4.
Although the shot stopped short of history, Davis calmly tapped in the eagle putt that remained.
