Kenya 7s Technical Bench has unveiled the Shujaa squad for the SVNS 2 Nairobi leg, with the core of the team retained for the tournament set for February 14–15, 2026 at Nyayo Stadium.
There are key returnees to the squad, with John Okoth making his comeback after missing the 2025 SVNS season through injury. He is joined by Chrissant Ojwang’, who also saw his campaign cut short last season due to injury.

A major highlight is the inclusion of David Nyangige, who earns his Shujaa debut after impressive performances on the local scene.
Experienced campaigners Vincent Onyala, Kevin Wekesa and Denis Abukuse anchor the squad, while co-captain George Ooro, Samuel Asati, Patrick Odongo and Floyd Wabwire retain their places
Playmaker Nygel Amaitsa has also made the final cut, alongside Festus Shiasi.
EDITOR’S PICKS:
Shujaa have had an intense build-up ahead of the Division 2 series. The squad travelled to South Africa on January 12 for a week-long high-performance training camp, where they trained in elite environments and played high-intensity friendlies.
Upon return, the team shifted into the final phase of local preparations, fine-tuning combinations and settling on the squad for the Nairobi leg.
The Nairobi tournament marks the opening round of the 2026 SVNS 2 season, which will be played over three legs. The top four teams on aggregate points will qualify for the SVNS World Championship.
At Nyayo Stadium, Shujaa will face United States, Germany, Uruguay, Belgium and Canada
