RatKing Frames just announced a soft “rebrand” last week. Brand owner Smith Levi was feeling like the brand needed a fresh look, so with that came an updated downtube logo, amongst other redesigns. Let’s check them out, along with RatKing’s innovating pricing structure…

The new downtube logo was designed by Eric Marshall.

Smith built two bikes to display this new look, of which both are currently for sale: a 54cm track bike (black) and a 56cm ATB Full Monty (brown).

Sweatshirts and high-visibility safety vests are available now via preorder, running for a couple of weeks and then shipping in early March.

Solidarity Pricing model has been live all year and will continue to grow. It is a tiered access pricing model / mutual aid aimed at making more products accessible and trying to put the community first.
Preorders are currently open for updated Cradles (featuring a mildly revised stem and platform design) as well as the latest run of RIP Racks. These will be a rolling pre-order and ship mid-late spring.

RatKing Solidarity Pricing
Each product is offered at three price points, open to all, with no judgment or preferential treatment. This is fully self-reporting. The tiers are as follows:
Supported:
This is materials + labor.
The supported tier is for folks to use when money is scarce.
Middle:
This is sustainable.
The middle tier is the fairest valuation of what a living wage – supporting product, etc – in a cottage industry, looks like.
Supporting:
This is generous.
Additional support helps sustain this pricing model, funds sliding-scale access, and enables donations.
