Mystery Masked Man Returns On WWE RAW, Disrupts Elimination Chamber Plans

WWE’s storyline around the mystery masked man took another twist on the February 9 episode of RAW, as the hooded figure showed up again and caused more chaos on the road to Elimination Chamber.

The angle first kicked off at the Men’s Royal Rumble. Bron Breakker entered at number two but never even got a chance to actually compete, as the masked attacker in a black hoodie attacked Breakker during his entrance. Breakker was then tossed into the ring, where Oba Femi quickly eliminated him.

Now, according to F4WOnline.com, the former Intercontinental Champion recently had surgery for a serious hernia. PWInsider later confirmed the injury, saying Breakker was hurt during last week’s RAW when he flipped over the announce table.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion is now off the road with no clear return date. He had been in talks to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42, but that match is now in question.

Who Is The Masked Man Targeting The Vision On WWE RAW?

Since the Royal Rumble, everyone has been guessing who was really behind the mask.

Names like Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and even RAW General Manager Adam Pearce were all thrown around online. Paul has clarified on his podcast that he is not the masked man. Theory can’t be the man, as he just got attacked himself.

Things escalated again on this week’s RAW during a Triple Threat match between Penta, LA Knight, and Austin Theory for a spot in the Elimination Chamber match on February 28. Before the match, Pearce warned Paul Heyman not to get involved. Although he didn’t, his team members from The Vision did.

Logan Paul and Bronson Reed attacked LA Knight when he was looking strong in the match. Reed crushed Knight with a huge Tsunami splash, allowing Theory to make a pin. But Penta stopped him by pulling Theory out of the ring. As Theory turned back toward Penta, the masked attacker suddenly appeared and attacked Theory. He again hit the same Rollins-like stomp he used at the Royal Rumble against Breakker.

When Paul and Reed tried to chase him down, the mystery man escaped through the crowd, keeping his identity a secret and the storyline alive.

Recently, it was reported that WWE wanted fans to believe Rollins was the attacker. Grayson Waller was reportedly the person wearing the mask that night, but the report also noted that doesn’t mean he will end up being the attacker in the storyline.

With the masked attacker striking again and Breakker sidelined, WWE has done a great job of mixing storyline and real life.
