It will be a potential Western Conference playoff series preview when the Los Angeles Lakers host the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night. This is a back-to-back situation for Los Angeles after it lost at home to Oklahoma City 119-110 on Monday. San Antonio has not played since Saturday.

Let’s dive into my Spurs vs. Lakers predictions.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers odds

Money line: Spurs -275 / Lakers +225
Spread: Spurs -8.5 (-110) / Lakers +8.5 (-110)
Total: Over 228.5 (-110) / Under 228.5 (-110)

San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers best bet #1: Over 228.5 (-110)

The Lakers have already played eight back-to-back situations this season. Five of the second legs in those eight have produced at least 230 points. Also, the over is 3-0 in the Spurs’ last three games and 7-2-1 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings between these two teams.

LeBron James has taken the court in both legs in each of his team’s last two back-to-backs. With Luka Doncic sidelined by an injury and coming off a loss on Monday, the Lakers really need LeBron on the floor for this one. He has scored 20 points or more in five of his last six games. As for the Spurs, they have heated back up following a 2-3 stretch. They are in the midst of a four-game winning streak that most recently saw them put 135 and 138 points on the scoreboard in the last two contests — both against Dallas. At the other end of the floor, the Spurs surrendered 123 and 125 points to the Mavs in those two games.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers best player prop bet: De’Aaron Fox Over 5.5 assists (-140)

Fox has delivered seven assists in six of the last seven games. It’s no surprise, as San Antonio is scoring plenty of points and he has a lot of weapons who eagerly await his distributions. In addition to Victor Wembanyama’s scoring prowess, a whopping seven other players on the roster (Fox included) are scoring in double-figures. That includes Stephon Castle, who went for a triple-double with 40 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists on Saturday.

Against what could be a fatigued Lakers defense, the Spurs should be able to beat them with ball movement. Even at a -140 price, this Fox prop bet has good value.
