When The IInspiration Could Make AEW Debut After TNA Exit

Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee might be walking into AEW sooner than expected, following their TNA departure.

During the February 9, 2026 edition of the Self Made Session, Self Made Pro reported that the former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions are expected to appear at AEW Grand Slam Australia on February 14. While no official contract has been signed, their presence at the international event seems locked in.

“Expect them to be in AEW, and they are going to show up at Grand Slam Australia. They’re expected to be in AEW at least for this Grand Slam Australia thing. Do they sign? They might sign.”

The timing lines up with their recent departure from TNA, where they dropped the Knockouts Tag Titles to The Elegance Brand during the company’s AMC debut on January 15. Since then, the tag team veterans have remained quiet.

This update also adds new urgency to previous speculation. In the February 6 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer had already noted growing AEW interest in the former IIconics following their TNA exit last month.

“We’ve heard a lot of talk of The IInspiration (Jessica McKay & Cassie Lee) coming in, really ever since they left TNA for another opportunity right after losing their tag titles to The Elegance Brand on the AMC debut show on 1/15.”

Between podcasting, media appearances, and a steady social following, they’ve kept their momentum alive—and AEW seems ready to capitalize. While a full-time deal hasn’t been finalized, their upcoming appearance at Grand Slam Australia could be the test run that gets them back on national television.
