Jacy Jayne made her surprise debut in the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble as entrant #24—but now she’s revealing just how secretive WWE’s process was behind the scenes.
Speaking on Busted Open After Dark on February 10, 2026, Jayne opened up about her first Rumble appearance and the extreme lengths WWE went to in order to keep everything under wraps. According to her, she and other surprise entrants were essentially quarantined in their Saudi Arabia hotel for nearly a week to avoid tipping off fans—or cameras.
“The last four years that I was not chosen to be in the Rumble, I did not like that. I was hidden for a while. We flew to Saudi, and we weren’t allowed to actually go out and do anything. We were surprises, and we didn’t want to give it away that we were there.”
WWE’s secrecy protocol meant that even though she was cleared to eat and train within the hotel, her world was reduced to the gym, the dining area, and her room.
“So we hid out in the hotel for about a week. Not just in the room, but in the hotel in general. I was allowed to go downstairs to work out and go eat, but I didn’t really get to see much of Saudi. I basically just saw the airport and the arena.”
Jayne’s comments confirm what had already been reported leading into the January 31 show in Riyadh: WWE was doing everything possible to prevent Royal Rumble surprises from leaking. Travel was staggered. Charter flights were used. Talent were reportedly instructed to scale back on social media—especially photos that could give away someone’s presence backstage or at the hotel.
In the end, it worked. Jayne’s debut went off without a hitch, and her performance—including her elimination by Sol Ruca—was one of the most talked-about moments in the Women’s Rumble.
Should WWE keep enforcing this level of secrecy for surprise returns—or does it take away from the experience for talent overseas? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
